The Devil In Me !

A lot has been written on the other side of us. I thought lets take a twist and talk about something that is less talked about in our world. Being brought up in a Christian household, devil takes a different tangent :). As a kid, I imagined devil as the man who bears some resemblance to the Onida ad guy "Neighbour's envy, owners pride". I went to believe that he stays in  hell and tries to transform the good ones into today's decepticons. Imaginations run amok with fillers from dear elders. You got to be thankful that my beliefs were laid to rest with the growing years. We did not get conquered by the Supernatural demons who ran berserk taking over humans.

But as I have grown over the years, so has my belief taken a complete U turn. I do believe that the devil does exist but just that the horns have grown on my head. Jokes apart, don't you think what I am trying to state is a well known fact. The devil resides in me for sure. I have one part of me that is all white and good. The other side is dark....really dark(laughs out loud). To each is own.

The devil in me has a thousand vices. Sometimes I want to keep shopping till the end of the world, that's my greed :D. There are days when I get cranky and act up without any reason. There are days when I am gloomy loosing hope in humanity :), act bitchy and do all nakharas. There are days when other devils around me try to make you want something that is not your cup of tea, but the false pride comes in barrels full to take you for a ride at your own cost. There are times when I hurt the ones closest to me. And there are times when you have the sweet devil, when you drink and shout the famous Sholay dialogues. There are days when the devil in me makes me feel lousy and vulnerable when others have fun at my expense. The devil in me paints a whimsical picture of myself, somebody who I can never be yet want to be :D. The devil in me is capable of disasters and fun too.

It will take another long post to fight it out if the devil needs to tamed or shunned out of our souls and what is that we believe is devilish. It ain't sure gonna kill me to have the naughty little devil in me :D
