Dear Mother...

It seems like yesterday,
When you took off on your flight,
In the journey of your life,
Everybody said "It's a part of your life",
To loose the ones that we love the most,
Yet it seems like an eternal tryst.

Life has never been the same,
Since you have been gone,
This day has left all of us in vain,
Memories keep flooding back,
We try fighting the tears and pain,
The waves of life hit us back right at our face.

Your life was a gift to us,
An angel that was sent to earth,
To mould us in a shadow of you,
We can only try and try,
To be all that you always were,
The man and women that you want us to be.

Insurmountable pain and anguish comes with this day,
Oh Mother, wish you were here,
To share our joys and sorrow,
The little girl in me looks around for you,
To hold on to your hand and never let you go.

Sadness should flee away from your face,
As we celebrate your life,
For the mother that you are for us,
A mother who is never apart from us,
You live on in our lives,
Each moment is a celebration of the woman in you,

Life will never be the same but you will stay alive in us until we meet on the other side !
